Kevin Hell – President and CEO
Kevin Hell is a seasoned high tech CEO and entrepreneur with a wealth of experience growing high-technology companies that redefined their industries through innovation and thought leadership. His twenty years of P&L leadership roles include being the CEO of DivX (NASDAQ: DIVX), one of the most broadly deployed digital media technologies in the world. He has specialized in building profitable, global licensing businesses working in partnership with some of the largest companies in the world. Having initiated his career as a spacecraft systems engineer for Hughes Aircraft Company, Hell has since held executive and board roles with multiple companies including Gateway, Palm, On-Ramp Wireless, The Boston Consulting Group and Sonic Solutions. A graduate of Stanford University, Hell received his Masters of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics. He received his Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Murat Okandan – CTO and Founder
Murat was a key team member in development of the technology that has lead to DragonSCALEs. During his work at Sandia National Labs for 16 years, he was involved in a large range of technology development projects ranging from biomedical/neural implants to extreme sensors and solar power systems, all leveraging microsystems and microfabrication techniques. With a focus on rapid commercialization of this technology in aerospace, remote power and in the larger energy infrastructure, Murat has been guiding the mPower team and working with our customers and partners on critical technology and product integration fronts. Murat received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
Kaveh Rouhani – VP Space Power Systems
Kaveh is the lead for mPower business development activities in the aerospace market. He joined us from Boeing Spectrolab in early 2017.
Over his 12 year tenure at Boeing, Kaveh held a number of executive positions. Initially, he was a space product design engineer for 5 years focusing on space solar cell, panel and array design and manufacturing. He later served 7 years as the capture team lead (Director of Business Development) for Spectrolab, servicing worldwide primes in Europe, India, Japan, Russia and the US. Kaveh’s worldwide customer network is extensive and has been instrumental to mPower’s growth in the space market.
Earlier in his career, Kaveh was the lead panel engineer for programs to the moon, Jupiter, Mars and many Earth orbiting missions. His deep technical background in space power, combined with his BS from UCI in Mathematics, and MS in Electrical Engineering from UT brings immense breadth and depth to the mPower team.
